Job summary

Finatal are partnering with a high-growth professional services business to recruit an Interim FP&A Director. The role supports the CFO through a critical evolution stage, providing forecasting, reporting, and commercial insight to drive value ahead of an eventual exit.

The ideal candidate will have extensive FP&A leadership in a large-cap PE-backed or listed entity, with demonstrable experience guiding exits, refinancings, IPOs, or buyouts.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven FP&A Director/Head of FP&A or Finance Director experience.
• Experience operating within a large-cap PE-backed portfolio company or a listed business.
• Demonstrable experience supporting a private equity exit, refinancing, recapitalisation, IPO, or secondary buyout.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Develop best-in-class management reporting and KPI frameworks.
• Provide commercial insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Partner closely with the CFO, executive leadership team, and private equity investors.
• Drive improvements in FP&A processes, reporting quality, and forecasting accuracy.
• Support board reporting, lender reporting, and investor communications.
• Deliver detailed analysis around business performance, profitability, and cash generation.
• Support value creation initiatives and strategic projects ahead of an anticipated exit.
• Lead and develop the FP&A function.
