JSS in London is seeking an interim FP&A professional with a strong cost focus to own cost FP&A, build models and partner with leadership to improve cost visibility and decision-making.

The role emphasizes governance, allocations, and the design of finance processes and operating models, with exposure to offshore/shared services and potential AI-enabled improvements. Hybrid London assignment for 12 months.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified accountant or equivalent qualification.
• Strong FP&A experience with cost and business partnering focus.
• Hands-on allocations experience in a commercial environment.
• Experience designing finance processes and operating models.
• Offshore or shared services exposure.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with stakeholder management.
• Curiosity and practical understanding of AI and automation in finance.

Aufgaben

• Own cost-focused FP&A: build clear, reliable views of the expense base and provide actionable insights.
• Review allocation methodologies, cost drivers, governance and controls, simplify and increase transparency.
• Partner with finance and business leaders to challenge cost, improve visibility and support better decisions.
• Build reporting, reconciliations, allocation models and planning tools, then embed them.
• Identify where automation and AI can improve efficiency, control and cost insight quality.
• Separate repeatable from judgement-based work with SOPs, SLAs and offshore handover.

I'm working with a leading global specialty insurer on an interim FP&A appointment with a strong cost focus. The finance function is backing profitable growth and sharpening how it plans, tracks and allocates cost.

What you'll be doing

• Owning cost-focused FP&A: building clear, reliable views of the expense base and giving the business insight it can act on
• Reviewing allocation methodologies, cost drivers, governance and controls, simplifying them and making them more transparent
• Partnering with finance and business leaders to challenge cost, improve visibility and support better decisions
• Building reporting, reconciliations, allocation models and planning tools, then embedding them
• Finding where automation and AI can improve efficiency, control and the quality of cost insight
• Separating repeatable from judgement-based work, with SOPs, SLAs and training to hand activity to offshore teams

What I'm looking for

• Qualified accountant (or equivalent recognised qualification)
• Strong FP&A experience with a cost and business partnering focus
• Hands-on allocations experience (methodologies, cost drivers, governance and controls) in a commercial, well-established environment
• Experience designing finance processes and operating models
• Offshore or shared service model exposure
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills, and stakeholder management
• Curiosity and a practical understanding of AI and automation in finance (building agents or AI tools is a plus)
