Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd is recruiting an experienced Interim Fire Safety Manager to join a leading Social Housing provider based in Birmingham, supporting fire remediation on an interim basis.

The role offers a day rate of £400-£440, a 6-month contract with the potential to extend, and a hybrid working pattern. You will manage fire safety programmes across properties, conduct inspections and liaise with Property Managers to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and experience of Fire Risk Assessments and fire safety compliance.
• Experience managing fire safety contractors and external consultants.
• Strong understanding of fire safety legislation and regulations.
• Experience delivering fire safety remedial, major works or compliance programmes.
• A recognised Fire Safety qualification or Building safety qualification.
• Strong project, contract and budget management skills.
• Experience working within a residential or social housing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the Group's fire safety programmes across its residential property portfolio.
• Carry out fire safety inspections, surveys and audits, ensuring risks are identified and appropriately managed.
• Work closely with Property Managers to ensure Fire Risk Assessment recommendations and remedial actions are completed.
• Prepare specifications, monitor works on site and undertake quality assurance inspections.
• Manage contracts, variations and Contract Instructions where required.
• Ensure all fire safety, building safety, statutory and regulatory obligations are identified and progressed.
• Keep up to date with changes to fire safety legislation, guidance and regulatory requirements.
