A leading finance firm in Leeds is seeking an experienced finance professional to cover a maternity leave for 9-12 months. The role involves providing technical accounting guidance, ensuring compliance with new standards, and supporting global finance operations. This hybrid position offers a competitive salary and the flexibility to work from home part of the week.
Marks Sattin is working with a highly recognised, multi-million-pound turnover business based in Leeds to support their search for an experienced finance professional to join their team.
You will be joining this business to cover a maternity leave, so a starting date soon will be ideal. The contract will last over a period of 9 - 12 months.
This is a flexible organisation operating on a hybrid basis with travel into the office 3 days per week. You will be offered a salary of up to £80k DOE, along with other benefits.
The role involves monitoring and assessing new accounting standards, providing insightful analysis of current practices to identify areas for improvement. It includes developing clear, regionally sensitive guidance on technical accounting matters, overseeing the implementation of updated processes to meet reporting requirements, and advising on the control environment. The position also supports significant transactions and offers ad-hoc technical accounting assistance to both regional and Group finance teams.
