About the Role

We're supporting a high-growth, internationally expanding business as they prepare for a US stock market listing. To help them navigate this critical phase, we're looking for a commercially sharp Interim Financial Controller with US listing experience to bolster their finance function and ensure IPO-readiness from both a technical and operational standpoint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a key finance lead in the IPO workstream, supporting CFO and external advisors through the listing process

  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX readiness

  • Lead technical accounting reviews and help prepare required financial statements, disclosures, and audit documentation

  • Strengthen internal controls and improve financial reporting processes to meet US public company standards

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (legal, tax, IR, etc.) to align financial operations with listing requirements

  • Support the build-out of a scalable finance function for life as a public company

  • Manage and coordinate the external audit process, including PCAOB audit standards

  • Provide ad hoc strategic financial input to the executive team and board

What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience supporting a company through a US IPO or direct listing

  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SEC filings, and SOX compliance

  • ACA/CPA or equivalent qualification with a strong technical accounting background

  • Experience working with US advisors, auditors, and legal counsel

  • Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with lots of moving parts

  • Able to operate hands-on when needed, but also step up to board-level conversations

Nice to Have
  • Experience in high-growth tech, life sciences, or clean energy sectors

  • Big 4 background and/or prior public company experience

  • Familiarity with dual reporting (e.g., IFRS and US GAAP)
