About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity within a multi-billion turnover business near Reading. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can come in and just add value!

Key Responsibilities:

• Support balance sheet accounting and assurance.
• Manage statutory accounting and reporting.
• Oversee systems and process transformations.
• Lead compliance, risk management, and controllership.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Assist in budgeting, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting requirements.
• Research and resolve technical accounting issues.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Manage tax filings and compliance.
• Develop and document business processes and policies.
• Ensure accurate and timely reconciliations of balance sheets and address discrepancies.
• Implement processes to improve balance sheet management and reporting.
• Support the development of a high-performing finance team.
• Build reports and manage data sets using Excel.

Requirements:

• ACA Qualified or equivalent with strong academic background.
• Proven experience leading a sizable finance team.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, balance sheet control, and processes.

Your Profile:

• People-centric, enthusiastic about financial accounting.
• Willing to commute to the outskirts of Reading 2-3 days a week.

Competitive daily rate of £450-£500, based on experience.
