About the Role:

This exciting role is within a multi-billion turnover business near Reading. We are seeking a dynamic individual who can come in and add value!

Key Responsibilities:

• Support balance sheet accounting and assurance.
• Manage statutory accounting and reporting.
• Oversee systems and process transformations.
• Lead compliance, risk management, and controllership.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting requirements.
• Research and resolve technical accounting issues.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Manage tax filings and compliance.
• Develop and document business processes and policies.
• Own balance sheet controls, reconciliations, and address discrepancies.
• Implement processes to improve balance sheet management and reporting.
• Support the development of a high-performing finance team.
• Create reports and manage data sets using Excel.

Requirements:

• ACA Qualified or equivalent with strong academic background.
• Experience leading a sizable finance team.
• Strong background in financial reporting, balance sheet control, and processes.

Your Profile:

• A fun, people-centric individual passionate about financial accounting.
• Comfortable commuting to the outskirts of Reading 2-3 days a week.

Competitive daily rate of £450-£500, depending on experience.
