About the Role:

This exciting opportunity is within a multi-billion turnover business near Reading. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can come in and add value!

Key Responsibilities:

• Support balance sheet accounting and assurance
• Manage statutory accounting and reporting
• Oversee systems and process transformations
• Lead compliance, risk management, and controllership
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Assist in budget preparation, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Coordinate regulatory reporting
• Research and resolve technical accounting issues
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure quality control over transactions and reporting
• Manage tax filings and compliance
• Develop and document business processes and policies
• Take ownership of balance sheet controls, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution
• Implement processes to improve balance sheet management and reporting
• Support building a high-performing finance team
• Create reports and manage data sets using Excel

Requirements:

• ACA Qualified or equivalent with strong academic background
• Proven experience leading a sizable finance team
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, balance sheet control, and financial processes

• Willing to commute to the outskirts of Reading 2-3 days a week

Competitive daily rate of £450-£500, depending on experience
