Job summary

Autumnal Partners is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to cover a 12-month maternity leave for a London-based hedge fund investment specialist. You will lead corporate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and regulatory filings with a focus on business-facing reporting rather than fund/NAV accounting.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• 5+ years' PQE in asset management or related financial services.
• Strong corporate reporting, management accounts, statutory accounts experience.
• Proficient with Power BI and advanced Excel; Python a plus.
• Proactive hands-on communicator with stakeholder skills.
• UK work eligibility for a 12-month interim

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and board reporting packs.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and oversee UK annual audit.
• Own budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis with monthly CFO reporting.
• Drive automation and improvement of internal reporting processes using Power BI and Excel.
• Oversee fund audits; ensure IFRS-compliant fund financial statements (not NAV).
• Coordinate with external tax advisors on corporate tax and regulatory reporting.
• Partner with investment research, legal, fund admin and marketing to provide financial insight.
