Job Description:

Our PE-backed software client requires an Interim Financial Controller for 6 months initially. Reporting to the CFO and based near Birmingham, the role involves spending 3 days per week on-site. Overnight expenses can be reimbursed if needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the rollout of a new ERP system, embedding best practices and improving data integrity and reporting
• Manage the balance sheet, ensuring revenue recognition and accurate reporting
• Manage and mentor a small finance team, driving automation and efficiency
• Oversee monthly close, year-end, and audit processes

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• Experience in B2B or software/tech sectors is advantageous
• Background in private equity-backed or fast-growth businesses
• Hands-on with managing lean finance teams and engaging with senior stakeholders
