Job summary

Butler Rose is seeking an Interim Financial Controller for a Milton Keynes-based organisation. This hands-on role leads a small finance team and delivers accurate financial information with strong controls.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will streamline processes, oversee financial reporting and compliance, and support strategic decision-making. The contract is for 3 months with a competitive day rate (£300-£400) inside IR35 PAYE.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience.
• Experience using Dynamics 365.
• Experience as Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Excellent Excel and finance systems proficiency.
• Available to start at short notice.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a well-established organisation based in Milton Keynes. This is a hands-on role that will suit a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys leading a small team whilst taking ownership of the finance function and ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely financial information.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will oversee all aspects of financial control, reporting and compliance, whilst driving process improvements and supporting business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Streamlining month process and reporting
• Helping onboard our new/growing Ireland division into the UK finance team
• Developing 3-year budget
• Seeing business through to year-end

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.
• Experience in Dynamics 365
• Previous experience operating as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Ability to work independently and quickly establish credibility with stakeholders.
• Strong Excel and finance systems experience.
• Available to start at short notice.
