A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a large, private equity–backed business in Grimsby undergoing a significant period of change and transformation.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suited to someone who thrives in a changing environment and can quickly add value across financial control, reporting, and business partnering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end close, management accounts, and financial reporting process
• Strengthen and improve financial controls, processes, and governance
• Support senior stakeholders with commercial insight and performance analysis
• Manage a small finance team, driving efficiency and accuracy in reporting
• Provide key input into transformation and change initiatives across the business
• Liaise with external auditors and ensure compliance with reporting standards

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller within a PE-backed or fast-paced business
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP / IFRS)
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, detail-oriented role during a period of transition
• Available immediately or at short notice
