Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an interim or project-led Financial Controller, ideally across multi-entity and multi-site environments.
  • Strong track record in post-acquisition integration—both system and team-focused.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic, and adaptable—able to get into the detail while influencing strategically.
  • Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to drive change in dynamic settings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial reporting for the newly acquired entities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with group standards.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to operational and leadership teams across multiple sites, embedding commercial insight and financial discipline.
  • Prepare businesses for system migration to the group-wide platform, ensuring readiness and smooth transition.
  • Assess, reshape, and support local finance teams—this may involve streamlining structures or recruiting key additions.
  • Contribute to group-wide finance structure optimisation, aligning people, systems, and processes for scale.

Interim Financial Controller – 6-Month Contract
Location: Reading & South Coast

Start: ASAP |Duration: 6 months (initially)
Day Rate: Competitive (Outside IR35 or FTC considered)

We’re working with a dynamic and acquisitive group going through a significant period of transformation. Following four recent acquisitions, the business is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to support integration and help shape the next stage of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead financial reporting for the newly acquired entities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with group standards
