Job summary

A respected not-for-profit organization seeks a Qualified Accountant for a 3-6 month contract in Oxford to support year-end accounts preparation in accordance with Charity SORP. You'll work collaboratively with the Finance Manager and auditors, leveraging your extensive accounting experience to enhance financial processes in the education sector.

Job Description

Support the preparation of year-end accounts in line with Charity SORP

Work closely with the Finance Manager and auditors to deliver a smooth and timely year-end process

Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and review financial controls

Assist with audit queries and the production of supporting schedules

Support internal reporting and contribute to process improvements as required

The Successful Applicant

Essential Experience

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
• Extensive experience preparing statutory accounts
• UK Right to work
• Oxford based ( ie: Able attend the office most days)

Ideal Experience

Strong technical accounting knowledge with working knowledge of Charity SORP
