Job summary

A multinational FMCG organization is seeking an Interim Financial Accountant for a 6-month contract, focusing on critical finance operations including balance sheet reconciliations, statutory reporting, and VAT compliance. This role requires a qualified or QBE accountant with strong Excel skills to support the finance team onsite in South Derbyshire for 2-3 days a week, offering a competitive daily rate of £350-£400 outside IR35.

Qualifications

• You will be a qualified or QBE accountant with proven experience.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to commit for 6 months are essential.

Responsibilities

• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monthly ledger postings/management for smaller entities including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
• Inter-company reconciliations and recharges.
• Prep of monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Statutory reporting and compliance.
• VAT returns, consolidation and compliance/reporting.
• Year end work - stat packs, tax packs, audit, statutory accounts.
• Cashflow Forecasting.

Profile

You will be a qualified or QBE accountant with proven balance sheet reconciliation and VAT experience, strong excel skills and the ability to commit for 6 months
