Job description

Diversity matters

We are building a brand that represents the people of the world. It's what you do that counts, and we are always looking to expand perspectives and voices to shape our future.

We see you, we celebrate you, we want you!

Who we are

You might know us as the inventors of the bath bomb, but there's more to this great-smelling, partly employee-owned, family-run company than pioneering cosmetics. We believe our business should put more back into the world than it takes and demonstrate that capitalism can be a force for good.

The Living Wage Foundation's statement 'a hard day's work deserves a fair day's pay' is one that we are proud to commit to in the UK. As an accredited Living Wage employer, we put our people first and fight cruel practices like animal testing, promote regeneration, and show that it is what's inside that counts - whether that's an ingredient in a product, or the minerals in a smartphone.

The Team

We are the team responsible for producing the final products available in our retail stores and digital platforms. Our operations span six key factories in Poole, Zagreb, Tokyo, Sydney, Vancouver, and Toronto.

The Role

Following a recent changeover of AP Workflow Approvals (ABBYY/Therefore to Quadient) and Finance/Accounting Software (QAD to Xero), we require a Finance Systems Accountant on a fixed term basis to support the finance function through issue resolution and transitioning procedures and processes to fit with new systems. This role is responsible for ensuring new financial processes are established with robust controls, data integrity, and reporting requirements are correctly mapped and embedded within the new system.

Fixed term contract of 3-6 months

Please note: We may close this vacancy early if we receive an overwhelming response or our business requirements change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate financial data migration (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, etc.), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Identifying where processes and procedures need to be adapted and providing training to the team.
  • Provide post-implementation support to the finance team.
  • Monitor system performance and collaborate on future enhancements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
  • Proven experience in implementing or upgrading finance systems.
  • Deep understanding of financial software and accounting principles, processes and controls (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, balance sheet controls).
  • Manufacturing experience would be a definite advantage.
  • Strong skills in change management, process improvement, and data migration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A willingness to consider new ideas, perspectives, and ways of working.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Proactive, self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
