Job summary

Rutherford Cross is supporting a large Glasgow-based organisation with the appointment of an Interim Finance Officer (Finance Business Partnering) on a 6-9 month fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will support monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets, maintain ledgers, perform reconciliations and provide analysis to budget holders.

Qualifications

• Part Qualified or 'Qualified by Experience' Accountant
• Good Excel skills and experience using financial ledger systems
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across the business
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work to strict deadlines

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reports, forecasts, and budgets
• Assist with annual business planning and year-end accounting processes
• Maintain financial ledgers, including journal processing and income/expenditure allocations
• Undertake balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Provide financial analysis, variance reporting, and performance information to budget holders
• Support operational management teams by providing financial insight and guidance
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective financial management
• Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes, controls, and reporting
