Description
- Oversee all invoice and payment processing, supervising the work of the Finance Assistant and covering the work during periods of leave
- Manage the month-end close and reporting cycle, including key checks, reconciliations and journals
- Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis for budget holder review
- Prepare and submit statutory accounts, VAT returns, and other compliance reporting
- Support working capital management and cashflow reporting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of reporting packs
- Maintain and reconcile financial ledgers, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Assist in ongoing development and evolution of internal financial systems to improve efficiency and make best use of technology
Profile
A successful Interim Finance Manager should:
- Be ACA, ACCA, or CIMA Qualified
- Have strong technical knowledge of financial accounting principles
- Be a confident communicator with experience presenting financial data
- Be proficient in Microsoft 365 and accounting systems
- Be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
