About Our Client

Our client is a large-sized organisation based in Portsmouth and they are seeking some interim support within their finance function.

Job Description

  • Oversee the overall financial management, planning, systems, and controls.
  • Manage budgeting process.
  • Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and petty cash.
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, and special analyses.
  • Ensure financial compliance within regulations.
  • Provide financial outlook reports and financial forecasts.
  • Manage and coordinate the annual audit process.
  • Work with the senior leadership team on strategic financial planning.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Manager should have:

  • Ideally a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
  • Be working towards a professional qualification or be qualified by experience
  • Experience in financial management and reporting activities.
  • Knowledge of accounting in accordance with UK Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation.
  • A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
