Interim Finance Manager

Job summary

SF Partners are working with a public sector organisation in the north Birmingham area to onboard an interim Finance Manager. You will be the main point of contact for on-site leadership and the senior Finance team, delivering financial monitoring, budgets and forecasting.

The assignment is expected to last until the end of August, with on-site responsibilities and line management of one staff member. Experience in management accounts and month-end processes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets and forecast monitoring reports.
• Carry out month/year end procedures including PO reconciliation, prepayments and accruals, income tracking and monthly outturn.
• Lead monthly meetings to discuss budget management and forecasting.
• Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts as required.
• Carry out supplier checks and other back-office checks as required.
• Management and development of one member of staff.

They are looking to onboard an interim Finance Manager, the Finance manager will be the main point of contact for on site leadership and the senior Finance team and to provide financial monitoring, budgets and forecasting.

Key tasks:

• - Prepare monthly management accounts/budget/forecast monitoring reports
• - Carry out/assist in month and year end procedures, but not limited to, Purchase Order reconciliation and cleardown, prepayments and accruals, income tracking, monthly outturn calculations
• - Lead monthly meetings to discuss budget management and forecasting
• - Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts as required
• - Carry out supplier checks and other back-office checks as required
• - Management and development of one member of staff
