Job summary

Sharp Consultancy is recruiting for a highly skilled Accountant to join a busy manufacturing operation near Garforth on a 6-month Finance Manager contract. You will lead a finance team of 3, oversee monthly reporting and cash flow management, and ensure accurate payroll processing.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience, strong Excel and clear communication. Remote working is available but you should be on site at least three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the Finance team (3 staff).
• Oversee the monthly reporting cycle.
• Coordinate weekly supplier payments and ad hoc bank payments.
• Prepare the weekly cash forecast.
• Perform the monthly payroll process.
• Complete pension submissions.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns.
• Manage monthly CIS submissions.
• Prepare and review Balance Sheet reconciliations.

Job description

A highly successful and growing manufacturer near Garforth seeks an experienced Accountant for an initial 6 month Finance Manager role.

Key tasks include:

• Manage and support the Finance team, 3 staff

• Manage the monthly reporting cycle

• Co-ordinate weekly supplier payments and other ad hoc bank payments

• Prepare the weekly cash forecast

• Perform the monthly payroll process

• Complete pension submissions

• Prepare quarterly VAT returns

• Manage monthly CIS submissions

• Prepare and review Balance Sheet reconciliations

To be considered, you will either be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or be qualified by experience with similar previous experience. You must also have decent Excel skills and be a very clear communicator.
