Job summary

Bayman Atkinson Smythe Ltd is supporting a Stockport-based charity in appointing an Interim Head of Finance for a 6–12 month FTC, working three days per week in a hybrid setup. The role requires strong day-to-day financial leadership and strategic input for commercial priorities.

The successful candidate will manage reporting, budgets, cash flow, financial modelling, bids and business cases, and provide insightful analysis to support the Board and senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Seasoned finance professional able to lead day-to-day and provide strategic financial insight.
• Experience in charity/not-for-profit sectors is advantageous.
• Capable of delivering accurate financial reporting and governance within deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead Finance function day-to-day operations and reporting.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and cash flow management.
• Develop financial models and scenario planning.
• Support bids, tenders and business cases with financial analysis.
• Provide financial insight to aid commercial and strategic decisions.
• Prepare executive and Board reports and year-end accounts.
• Maintain robust financial controls and audit readiness.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Finance team.
• Ensure key deadlines and deliverables are met.
