Job summary

Trial Balance is seeking an Interim Head of Finance to lead the finance function for a charitable organisation in Taunton. You will oversee the full finance life cycle, including transactional finance, payroll, year-end accounts, management accounting and budgeting, using Xero, with a focus on grants and charitable funding.

Ideal candidates are fully qualified accountants with strong operational finance and analytical experience, capable of supervising staff and engaging with senior management.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Accountant preferred.
• Charity sector experience is advantageous.
• Strong operational finance and analytical background required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee transactional finance and payroll functions.
• Manage year-end statutory accounts preparation, management accounting and budgeting.
• Provide detailed analysis and insights to inform strategic decision making.
