  • 4 or 5 days a week
  • 9 month contract
  • FTC or day rate

A diverse role for a purpose-led organisation. Reporting to the CEO, you are given a broad scope of work and will be challenged while working within a small, dynamic, and friendly team to lead a finance system implementation.

This is a key hire, and you will engage with a range of senior external stakeholders. You need to be an experienced finance professional with good IT, systems implementation experience, and commercial skills.

Service delivery is key in this opportunity, in addition to excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

We will be reviewing CVs throughout the process so please apply as soon as you are able to.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the CEO, you will have a handover with the outgoing person, and an important aspect is to multitask, ensuring financial oversight and business continuity, whilst the IT transformation project is underway.

Finance

  • Your role will be to challenge the numbers, manage the team and lead the budget process, KPI reporting, and risk management.
  • Lead commercial analysis, cashflow, and strategy
  • Management of two direct reports

IT Transformation

Lead the implementation of an agreed IT transformation involving transition of core infrastructure to the cloud, for file servers, CRM, and the accounting system.

You will be responsible for the overall program, which covers the following over the next 9 months:

  • Core Infrastructure – starts July and lasts for 3 months
  • CRM into the cloud. 4 months.
  • Access Dimensions to Business Central by Mar 2026.

You will also train and develop the two reports to use the new system.

  • Qualified and experienced Finance Director
  • Able to bring large corporate experience and professional standards to a small organisation
  • Systems implementations and change and a deep understanding of finance systems and cloud infrastructure.
  • Governance, structure, and controls background
  • Drive to achieve targets/milestone and enjoyment for projects.
  • Personable and approachable across all levels in a business

Ideally, you will have Microsoft Dynamics Business Central experience (this is desirable rather than essential).

You must be able to commit from July 2025 to March 2026.

This will be a challenging, busy, and varied role with the ability to use your experience for an organisation that has a real social impact.
