Interim Finance Director | AI SaaS Scale-Up | 6-Month Contract

Harmonic is working with an AI/SaaS Scale-Up to recruit an experienced Interim Finance Director for an initial 6-month contract. The client has received significant funding (around £50m) over the past 2 years, leading to rapid growth in their finance team.

The Client

The client has developed a powerful SaaS product used by large corporations in Financial Services, integrating AI to drive growth. They are a market leader with employees across the UK and US, mainly in the UK finance team.

The Role

The role involves managing a finance team of 4, focusing on automating finance systems and strengthening the FP&A function. The candidate should possess broad skills and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. The contract may become permanent.

Duties

• Own financial modelling and collaborate with product and client engagement teams.
• Manage accounting functions and improve processes.
• Support strategic decisions with financial insights.
• Lead FP&A, including revenue forecasting.
• Develop and present KPIs to the executive team.
• Enhance internal controls.
• Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Experience leading finance teams.
• Strong commercial acumen and FP&A background.
• Understanding of controls and audits.
• Experience in a fast-growing startup or scale-up.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder partnership.
• Experience in process improvements.

Bonus Experience

• Experience in B2B SaaS Scale-Up with high-value, low-volume models.
• Led a startup between Series A and Series C.
