About the Role:

Hays is working with a leading manufacturing organisation in Yeovil, Somerset, seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director to join their team starting from June 2025. This role is crucial for overseeing financial operations and ensuring the organisation's financial health during a transitional period.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
  • Coordinate, analyse, and report financial performance to management and the board of directors.
  • Prepare short- and long-term financial forecasts for internal management and external parties.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
  • Manage the finance team, providing leadership and guidance.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve financial performance.
Requirements:
  • Ideally, a qualified Finance Director (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or extensive experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in financial management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
