Simpson Judge is seeking an Interim Finance Director with strong technical accounting and hands‑on leadership to guide the business through acquisitions, due diligence and post‑acquisition integration.

The role emphasizes robust financial controls, governance and reporting, with responsibility for financial due diligence, transaction analysis and integration, working with the Board and external advisers to deliver strategic and commercial outcomes during a six‑month engagement.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with senior finance experience.
• Proven track record in acquisitions and post‑deal integration.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and governance focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial leadership with robust controls, reporting and governance.
• Oversee financial reporting, statutory accounts and complex accounting matters.
• Lead and support acquisitions, including due diligence, transaction analysis and integration.
• Manage post‑acquisition financial integration of finance functions, systems and reporting.
• Assess financial risks, structures and commercial opportunities.
• Deliver accurate analysis, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Collaborate with the Board, management and external advisers throughout transaction processes.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen financial processes and systems.

An established business services company is seeking a technically strong Interim Finance Director, with proven experience managing businesses through acquisitions and wider corporate transactions.

This is an opportunity for an experienced finance leader who can combine exceptional technical accounting expertise with hands‑on leadership, guiding the business through acquisition‑related activity and ensuring effective financial integration, control and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide financial leadership, ensuring robust financial controls, reporting and governance.
• Oversee financial reporting, statutory accounts and complex technical accounting matters.
• Lead and support acquisitions, including financial due diligence, transaction analysis and integration.
• Manage businesses through the acquisition lifecycle, ensuring effective post‑acquisition integration of finance functions, systems and reporting.
• Assess financial risks, transaction structures and commercial opportunities.
• Deliver accurate financial analysis, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Work closely with the Board, senior management and external advisers throughout transaction processes.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen financial processes, systems and business performance.

About You

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with significant senior‑level finance experience.
• Technically strong, with excellent knowledge of financial reporting and accounting standards.
• Proven experience managing businesses through acquisitions, including post‑acquisition integration.
• Experience in financial due diligence, acquisitions, disposals or wider corporate transactions.
• Commercially astute, analytical and confident operating at Board level.
• Able to combine strategic financial leadership with a hands‑on, delivery‑focused approach.
• Available to commit to an initial six‑month interim assignment and make an immediate impact.
