Job Title: Interim Finance Director

Location: Bristol- hybrid- 2 days a weeks in the office.

6 month fixed term contract - immediate availability/early July start required

This rapidly growing and dynamic business operate in a fast-paced environment where quick decision-making and robust financial insights are critical to their continued expansion and strategic objectives.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly experienced Interim Finance Director. This is a critical role for a seasoned finance professional who thrives in a high-energy environment and can hit the ground running. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity, driving performance, and providing strategic guidance to non-finance stakeholders during a key period of growth and transformation.

This interim position is ideal for an individual who is not only a technical expert but also a proactive, hands-on operator with outstanding business partnering capabilities and a keen eye for detail.

You will;

* Proactively and meticulously review, challenge, and validate financial information generated by the finance team prior to submission.

* Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all numbers, identifying discrepancies and driving corrective actions where necessary.

* Provide detailed constructive feedback and guidance to the finance team to elevate the quality and reliability of their output.

* Influence strategic decision-making by providing robust financial analysis, scenario planning, and commercial insight.

Strategic Business Partnering & Influence;

* Act as a trusted strategic partner to the non-finance departmental heads (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product).

* Proactively engage with non-finance stakeholders, building strong, collaborative relationships to understand their business drivers and financial needs.

* Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for non-finance audiences.

* Work closely with non-finance teams to help them understand, interpret, and take ownership of their departmental budgets and financial performance.

Team;

* Provide strong interim leadership to the existing finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.

Skills & Experience Required:

* Qualified Accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent, with significant post-qualification experience.

* Proven Interim Experience: Demonstrable track record of successfully operating as an Interim Finance Director, Head of Finance, or equivalent in fast-paced, dynamic, or growth-oriented environments.

* Team Leadership: Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a finance team.

* Exceptional Business Partnering: Extensive experience partnering effectively with non-finance stakeholders at all levels, influencing decisions, and driving commercial outcomes.

* Hands-On & Detail-Oriented: A pragmatic, roll-up-your-sleeves approach with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.

* Strategic Acumen: Ability to see the big picture, contribute to strategic planning, and translate business strategy into financial objectives.

* Analytical Rigour: Highly analytical with advanced financial modelling and data interpretation skills.

* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

* Adaptability: Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
