Job description

You will take financial charge - overseeing all financial aspects of business and drive the company’s financial strategy and planning. You will be responsible for assessing the financial performance of the company as well as possible risks and investments. You will demonstrate the highest level of integrity and be a reliable professional with broad knowledge of all accounting, financial and business principles. Operating and leading strategically to make the most profitable decisions, the shared goal is to guide the company towards profitability and long-term success.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide strong leadership and capability improvement to the Finance Controllership function, ensuring the function is a hands-on partner, proactively challenging and supporting the operation.
2. Ensure world class financial controls and cash management alongside accurate and timely reporting processes to facilitate effective oversight and decision-making.
3. Fostering a close working relationship with the Central Support Heads Of function, providing accurate and timely information to ExCo and Board.
4. Keep abreast of changes in accounting practice and legislation to ensure compliance. Be in a position to assess and advise on the impact of upcoming changes and communicate to ExCo and the businesses as appropriate.
5. Ensure that accounting and financial management systems, procedures, and practices are in place to capture and report data that meets Away Resorts operational, financial, and legislative needs.
6. Provide accurate and timely information to fulfil the requirement of the reporting cycle including the production of Interim / Annual Reports, budgets, and forecasts.
7. Work with the CFO to develop and implement the financial frameworks to deliver the Away Resorts strategy.
8. Support the CFO in oversight of all statutory and regulatory financial requirements, handling relationships with external advisors and actively working to reduce 3rd party spend.

Duration: 6-month interim contract, with potential for permanent role.

Remuneration: Competitive day rate, dependent on experience.
