Job Description

Interim Finance Business Partner job (Engineering Background) with a Glasgow based organisation for an initial 6-month period.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Producing accurate periodic financial information in line with company accounting policies, to their respective directorates in the form of a reporting pack with a full commentary on the financial performance each period
  • Attending directorate team meetings and lead on the presentation of financial information
  • Preparing and developing the annual budget, business plan and other statistical / statutory information, in conjunction with the relevant Directors and senior management teams
  • Closely liaising with the business to ensure any future changes are incorporated within the quarterly forecast and annual budget and business plan submissions
  • Completing periodic balance sheet reconciliation related to their respective directorate and complete key P&L analysis schedules each period. Ensuring that all reconciliations are completed in a timely basis and adequate supporting information is provided
  • Developing and maintaining financial control processes to ensure maximum value for money is obtained in line with business requirements
  • Assisting Senior Management with any ad hoc requests or project work

The Individual:

  • Qualified or ‘Qualified by Experience’ Accountant
  • Experience of working in a Management Accountant or Finance Business Partner role in a complex organisation
  • Experience within an engineering business or environment
  • Excellent communicator at all levels, both written and verbal
  • IT literate with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
