Interim Finance Analyst - 3 Month Contract

Robertson Bell are delighted to be partnering with a well-respected not-for-profit organisation based in South London who are seeking an Interim Finance Analyst to provide vital support during their busiest time of the year. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong Excel skills and an eye for detail to join a friendly finance team on an urgent interim basis.

The role:

  • Download financial data from the system and manipulate it for reporting purposes.
  • Prepare reports showing spend from April to September, linking to budget templates for project managers.
  • Carry out analysis of expenditure to support 2026 budget planning (e.g. forecasting utilities and other costs).
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data ahead of review meetings.
  • Work closely with management accountants and provide accurate data to underpin business partnering activity.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have proven experience working with large volumes of data and preparing accurate reports.
  • Possess strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, pivot tables).
  • Be detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable handling repetitive or transactional tasks.
  • Ideally have worked within the housing or not-for-profit sector, though this is not essential.

This position will sit within the finance department, reporting to a Management Accountant and working closely with the wider team. You will be required to work on-site five days per week in South London, with scope for review and potential flexibility (up to one day working from home) once established.

This is an urgent requirement and the organisation is looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
