Interim Employment Solicitor - 13 Month Fixed-Term Contract

We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to provide expert employment law advice and solutions. This role involves advising on complex contracts, employment-related matters, and ensuring compliance with new legislation. You will collaborate with HR to provide legal training and support on employment law and HR policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide effective legal advice on employment law to internal stakeholders.
  2. Manage legal advice on employment-related matters including ER issues, HR policies, Employment Tribunal claims, TUPE, industrial relations, and more.
  3. Advise on collective employment matters such as consultation procedures, restructuring, and redundancies.
  4. Support the business with the introduction of new legislation for compliant processes and risk management.
  5. Collaborate with HR to provide legal training and raise awareness on employment law and HR policies.

Ideal Candidate:

  1. Degree in Law or equivalent.
  2. Qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in employment law.
  3. Broad knowledge and experience of employment law and practice.
  4. Strong skills in negotiation, drafting, legal analysis, and problem resolution.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
