Job Description:

A leading financial services client is looking to hire a Director / Senior Vice President level interim Employment Counsel. This is 12 month contract covering for a maternity leave within the banks team.

The client is looking to hire an experienced Employment Counsel, ideally with experience gained at a leading city practice and with in-house financial services knowledge. Candidates from common law jurisdictions are able to apply.

The role will provide employment law advice at a senior level (Director / SVP). In this role, you will provide legal advice and support to business and HR partners on all aspects of the employment relationship including recruiting, on-boarding, performance management, leave management, discipline and disciplinary procedures, and all forms of termination including redundancy. You will also be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and finalizing documentation associated with these components of the practice. It is likely that you will be expected to get involved in active employment related litigation.
