Interim Director of Property Services
£800 – £900 per day
A London based leading housing association is seeking an Interim Director of Property Services to provide strategic leadership and operational management across all property-related functions. This is a key role focused on delivering high-quality housing services, ensuring compliance, and driving service excellence for residents.
Key duties:
- Lead and manage all aspects of property services, including responsive repairs, voids, disrepair, planned maintenance, and compliance.
- Develop and implement a robust asset management strategy that supports long-term sustainability and resident satisfaction.
- Oversee procurement and performance of contractors, consultants, and supply chains to ensure cost-effective, high-quality delivery.
- Ensure all works and services comply with statutory and regulatory requirements, including health & safety and building safety legislation.
- Ensure a culture of resident engagement and customer service across all property functions.
- Provide strong leadership to multi-disciplinary teams, supporting professional development and high performance.
- Manage departmental budgets and ensure financial accountability and value for money.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to align service delivery with organisational goals.
Client Requirements:
- Significant senior leadership experience in property services within a housing or related environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance, compliance, health & safety, and housing asset management.
- Proven ability to lead complex service delivery, drive performance, and manage large-scale contracts.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead during periods of change and deliver measurable service improvements.
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. RICS, CIOB) or equivalent
