Description

The Interim Data Protection Specialist will join the business to support, develop & implement data protection policies and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities will be to:

  • Advise stakeholders on best practices for data handling and privacy measures.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and mitigate data protection risks.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on GDPR and other legal requirements.
  • Ensure all data processing activities align with industry standards and company policies.
  • Prepare documentation to support compliance efforts and regulatory reporting.
  • Serve as the point of contact for data protection-related queries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed data protection into business processes.

Profile

A successful Interim Data Protection Consultant should have:

  • Strong knowledge of GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.
  • Ideally hold a CIPPE/CIPM or equivalent qualification.
  • Ability to interpret complex legal texts and translate them into actionable policies.
  • Proficiency in conducting audits and identifying compliance gaps.
  • Availability to start immediately/short notice.
  • Ability to work in the Bolton office on a hybrid basis.
