Job summary

Morgan Law is recruiting an Interim Data Engineer to start ASAP for a Public Sector client in London. The role requires extensive data engineering experience within the Public Sector, and offers hybrid working 2-3 days on site.

You will build and maintain data pipelines, support ingestion, transformations, APIs, and Power BI connections, with daily rate of £400-£425 outside IR35 and contract until end of March 2027.

Qualifications

• Building or supporting data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Working with relational databases and SQL.
• Working with data from multiple sources and formats.
• Working with cloud-based data platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure.
• Python: core data science libraries such as NumPy, pandas.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines and integrations within the agreed architecture.
• Support the ingestion, transformation, cleaning and linking of datasets identified through the data collection workstream.
• Support the development and maintenance of APIs and other data integrations.
• Support the management and maintenance of the data platform and associated services.
• Support Power BI data connections, datasets and refresh processes.
• Implement appropriate security, access controls and technical processes.
• Identify and resolve technical and data-quality issues.
• Provide practical technical input to the Data Architect and wider team.
• Contribute to testing, documentation and continuous improvement of the data platform.

You will have to have had extensive Data Engineer experience obtained in the Public Sector to apply.

Based in London, Hybrid working 2-3 days onsite.

£400-£425 a day outside of IR35
