Job summary

Partner Financial is partnering with a rapidly expanding consumer business in Central London to provide insightful analysis across revenue and trading performance. You will work closely with the CFO to turn complex data into clear, actionable insight and develop dashboards that give visibility of key metrics.

We are seeking a commercially astute finance professional with strong analytical skills, experience in FP&A or business partnering, and excellent Excel abilities.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification, with analytical or commercial finance background.
• Experience in commercial finance, FP&A or business partnering in fast-paced consumer/retail/leisure/entertainment environment.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills; able to interrogate large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Analysing ticket sales, revenue and trading performance; identify key movements and variances.
• Investigate drivers behind fluctuations in ticket sales (pricing, demand, channels, events).
• Translate data into clear insights and recommendations for CFO and senior leadership.
• Develop and maintain commercial reporting and dashboards for visibility of revenue metrics.
• Collaborate with commercial, marketing, operations and sales teams; challenge assumptions where appropriate.
• Support CFO with ad hoc analyses and investigations into underperformance or unexpected movements.
• Analyse customer and sales data to identify trends, opportunities and risks across experiences and channels.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with robust commercial assumptions and analysis.
• Build financial models and scenario analyses for pricing, promotion, capacity and decisions.
• Continuously improve quality and relevance of commercial/financial reporting.

Working closely with the CFO the successful candidate will provide insightful analysis across revenue and trading performance. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute finance professional who enjoys getting beneath the numbers, understanding the drivers behind performance and turning complex data into clear, actionable insight.

Key responsibilities:

• Analysing ticket sales, revenue and trading performance, identifying key movements, trends and variances against budget, forecast and prior periods.
• Investigating the underlying drivers behind fluctuations in ticket sales, including pricing, volume, timing, customer demand, territories, channels, events and other commercial factors.
• Translating detailed financial and operational data into clear, concise insights and recommendations for the CFO and senior leadership team.
• Developing and maintaining commercial reporting and dashboards to provide visibility of key revenue and performance metrics.
• Working closely with commercial, marketing, operations and sales teams to understand business performance and challenge assumptions where appropriate.
• Supporting the CFO with ad hoc analysis and investigations into areas of underperformance or unexpected movements, providing clear explanations and recommended actions.
• Analysing customer and sales data to identify trends, opportunities and risks across different experiences, markets and sales channels.
• Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, providing robust commercial assumptions and analysis to improve the accuracy of revenue forecasts.
• Building financial models and scenario analysis to assess the potential impact of pricing, promotional activity, capacity, new experiences and other commercial decisions.
• Continuously improving the quality, accessibility and relevance of commercial and financial reporting across the business.

The candidate:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification, with a strong analytical or commercial finance background.
• Proven experience in a commercial finance, FP&A, business partnering or analytical role within a fast-paced consumer, retail, leisure, hospitality, entertainment or similar environment.
• Highly commercially astute, with a genuine curiosity to understand why numbers are moving rather than simply reporting what has happened.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to interrogate large datasets and identify meaningful trends and drivers.
• Excellent Excel skills, with experience working with financial and operational data; experience with BI tools would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and ask the right questions.
