Are you a detail-driven construction professional with a passion for quality and compliance? We’re working with a Local Authority in London who are seeking an experienced Clerk of Works to support the successful delivery of a range of capital projects. This is an exciting interim opportunity to play a key role in ensuring construction standards are met across multiple sites.

Your role

1. Monitor site work to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and health & safety regulations.
2. Conduct regular inspections and produce detailed reports on progress, quality, and workmanship.
3. Liaise with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
4. Identify and report defects, ensuring timely rectification.
5. Support project managers in delivering projects on time and within budget.

What you'll need to succeed

1. Proven experience as a Clerk of Works or similar role in construction project delivery.
2. Strong knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and health & safety standards.
3. Excellent communication and reporting skills.
4. Relevant qualifications (e.g., ICWCI membership, HNC/HND in Construction or equivalent).
5. Ability to travel to multiple sites as required.
