Job Title: Interim Chief Financial Officer (4 days per week)

Location: UK (Hybrid/Remote options considered)

Sector: SaaS / Technology

Company Size: ~£15m turnover

Overview:

Stanton House is seeking an experienced Interim CFO to lead a SaaS business through an exit process. Partnering the CEO and working closely with the fund, the successful candidate will take ownership of financial strategy, operational performance, and all aspects of exit readiness -culminating in a successful sale process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Leadership & Operational Improvement

• Strengthen financial reporting, controls, and forecasting processes to support scalability and investor confidence.
• Implement metrics-driven performance management, including SaaS KPIs (ARR, CAC, CLTV, churn, NRR).
• Lead budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and working capital optimisation.
• Assess and improve unit economics and pricing models where appropriate.

2. Exit Preparation

• Develop a clear exit roadmap in alignment with board and shareholder goals.
• Prepare the company for due diligence
• Build an investor-ready data room, including accurate and robust financial models and forecasts.
• Support or lead engagement with corporate finance advisors and potential buyers.
• Serve as the financial lead during the transaction process, coordinating with advisors, lawyers, and potential acquirers.
• Lead on commercial negotiations related to financial terms, deal structure etc.
• Manage information flow and stakeholder communications throughout the process.

Key Requirements:

• Prior experience as a CFO successfully leading a SAAS business through an exit.
• Strong command of SaaS metrics, subscription revenue models, and recurring revenue accounting (e.g., IFRS 15).
• Skilled in financial modelling, data room preparation, and investor communications.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on, pragmatic mindset suited to a fast-paced, founder-led environment.
• PE/VC-backed company experience.
