Interim CEO – Science Research Foundation (SRF) Limited
Fixed-term | 0.5 FTE | Based in Bristol | Initially July–December 2025
The Science Research Foundation (SRF) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Bristol, is seeking an exceptional Interim Chief Executive Officer to lead the company during a critical period of growth and transition.
SRF plays a central role in delivering innovation, business support, and commercialisation services aligned to the University’s strategy. Currently this includes three established innovation hubs within Bristol:
As Interim CEO, you will be responsible for leading SRF through the next phase of its development, implementing the Board-approved business plan, driving operational transformation, and ensuring strong delivery against KPIs. Specifically, this will include supporting the planned transition of Bristol Innovation hubs to a new purpose-built Temple Quarter Campus.
This is a 0.5 FTE fixed-term appointment initially July to December 2025, reporting to the SRF Board of Directors and based at the Engine Shed in central Bristol.

This is a part-time (50% FTE) secondment or fixed-term appointment. The role is accountable to the SRF Board of Directors and may be undertaken under contract or through secondment (subject to agreement).
