Interim CFO - Construction

Location: Midlands

Duration: 6 months

My client, a leading construction business, has an immediate requirement for an interim CFO to join their team for a period of 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for all finance, tax, and treasury activities
  • Finance business partner to the executive team
  • Managing senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Deputise for the Chief Executive when required
  • Developing annual budgets and forecasts
  • Ensuring high standards of financial control
  • Developing real-time and relevant reporting with insightful commentary
  • Supporting business decision-making through analysis
  • Leading the development and improvement of key business processes
  • Leading and developing the finance team

Candidate Profile:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualification or equivalent
  • Significant construction experience
  • Experience managing a sizeable team in a large organization
  • Experience leading teams through periods of change
  • Strong experience in working capital management
  • Ability to resolve technical accounting issues
  • Hands-on experience with business process improvements
  • Knowledge of corporate governance, audit, risk management, and financial reporting best practices
  • Experience establishing and delivering a robust finance function
