Job Opportunity: Interim CFO at a Prestigious University

We are currently working with a prestigious University seeking to appoint an Interim CFO on a 6-month contract.

As a member of the Executive Board, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and strategic guidance, supporting the commercial leadership, and offering high-level advice to the Vice-Chancellor.

Start date: As soon as possible. Interviews are scheduled for the week commencing 16th September.

Key Duties:
  1. Contribute to company-wide strategies through financial leadership.
  2. Manage an annual spend of £850m and an £80m capital program.
  3. Provide leadership for the finance functions, including human, financial, and physical resources.
  4. Offer strategic advice on financial strategy, investment, risk, and resource deployment.
  5. Ensure compliance with institutional, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  6. Suggest innovative financing strategies for estate and other investments.
  7. Provide the Vice-Chancellor with timely, accessible financial information for planning and strategic decision-making.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience working within the Education sector.
  • Proven track record at an executive level.
  • Significant experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of challenges facing the Higher Education sector.
  • Recent relevant experience is required to apply.
