Job summary

New Way Recruitment is seeking an experienced Interim Turnaround Consultant to provide hands-on leadership and specialist support to care settings in Scotland and surrounding areas. Accommodation will be provided where needed.

Working with senior leadership, you will assess operations, identify risks, and implement a clear, prioritised improvement plan to stabilise services and elevate quality of care for residents, families and staff. This role is project-based and ad hoc.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of CI regulations, compliance and governance.
• Turnaround, service improvement or recovery experience.
• Operational leadership within adult social care.
• Ability to challenge poor practice constructively and implement change.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder‑management skills.

Responsibilities

• Turnaround, stabilisation and improvement of services.
• Initial assessment of operational, regulatory, safeguarding and quality risks.
• Develop and implement a clear, prioritised improvement action plan.
• Strengthen governance, quality assurance, auditing and monitoring systems.
• Support the service to meet and maintain CI regulatory requirements and standards.
• Identify gaps in care delivery, documentation, risk management and operational practice.
• Provide visible leadership to managers and care teams.
• Coach and develop the management team to build sustainable capability.
