A Business Analyst is required for a client in the Midlands, paying £[amount] a day inside IR35, for a 6-month contract with hybrid working, including 2 days onsite.
The ideal candidate will have a strong Business Analyst background from the Public Sector, particularly Local Government, and be available to start within the next 2 weeks.
Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in the business analysis community; collaborate with the lead business analyst to set development standards and behavioral expectations; work with other disciplines for mutual development.
- Analyse and articulate user needs across complex business areas and multidisciplinary teams. Develop research and analysis plans, build and manage backlogs, and use data to ensure accessible, intuitive, and simple services.
- Engage with service areas to promote understanding of agile methodologies and the business analyst’s role in digital transformation.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to measure value, inform product development, and make data-driven decisions. Translate visions into user stories backed by evidence, monitor performance, and iterate accordingly.
- Identify common needs across the organization, gather data to understand problems deeply, and ensure assisted digital services are well-designed for seamless user journeys.
- Apply agile methodologies, fostering a fast-paced, iterative environment for rapid delivery. Develop processes and scenarios to test new or redesigned services throughout their lifecycle.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of modern technology and data platforms, making informed decisions based on user needs and value for money.
- Lead by example, embodying organizational values to foster a high-trust, inclusive environment that enables teams to perform at their best.
Experience Required:
- Extensive knowledge of the business analysis profession, skills, and application.
- Understanding of product thinking and the product development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with product methodologies, frameworks, and principles, including vision setting, strategy creation, and roadmap development.
- Strong knowledge of user-centered design and service design.
- Experience with agile working practices and software development methodologies.
- Knowledge of data-driven decision making and evidence-based approaches.
- Proficiency in experimentation and analytics techniques.
