Job description

An organisation in the healthcare sector is looking for Assistant Management Accountant on an interim basis. This is a key opportunity for someone with solid experience in finance and management accounts who is looking to step into a dynamic role with room to grow.

The Role
You'll support the management accountants and finance manager in delivering accurate, timely financial data that drives business decisions. This includes:

  • Maintaining financial systems and verifying coding/project costs
  • Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis
  • Supporting the quarterly management accounts process
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
  • Monitoring procurement efficiency and supplier contracts
  • Managing NHS pension reconciliations and property cost tracking
  • Producing reports for project performance evaluation
  • Contributing to the development of finance policies and mentoring junior finance staff

About You:

  • AAT Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in a finance role with involvement in management accounts
  • Strong Excel and finance system skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
