Interim Assistant Director - Urgent Care and Care Homes, London

Location: London, hybrid working

Job Description:

We are supporting a local authority client in recruiting an Interim Assistant Director for Urgent Care and Care Homes, working across the ICB and Local Authority.

The role involves:

  • Leading commissioning, strategic design, and transformation activities across local care partnerships, hospitals, and community services.
  • Managing hospital discharge delivery and urgent care transformation for adults and children.
  • Overseeing winter planning and surge activities for health and care services.
  • Managing A&E Delivery Board activities.
  • Handling care home commissioning, market sufficiency, and management.

Requirements include:

  • Experience in similar roles involving commissioning, design, and operational management of urgent care.
  • Knowledge of health and social care policies, legislation, and regulations relevant to the client groups.
  • Strong stakeholder communication, negotiation, and liaison skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement service improvements through creative and flexible approaches.
