Interim Assistant Director of Governance
  • Location: West London, London
  • Salary: Up to £82k per annum per year

An exciting 12-month fixed-term opportunity has arisen for an experienced governance professional to take on a senior leadership role within a complex public sector organisation in West London (hybrid 1-2 days a week). As Assistant Director - Governance, you\'ll provide oversight and assurance across governance, risk, compliance, and audit functions, working closely with senior leaders, boards, and auditors.

A key focus of the role is developing and embedding a robust governance framework that will leave a lasting legacy, ensuring statutory compliance and driving a culture of accountability and transparency throughout the organisation. This role also includes managing and mentoring a small team, strengthening capability, and ensuring governance supports effective decision-making across all levels of the organisation.

We\'re looking for someone with proven experience in governance, audit, or risk at a senior level, ideally within the public sector. Strong knowledge of statutory responsibilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to present complex issues with clarity are essential.
