Interim Accounts Payable Assistant | VFX and Animation Scale Up | London/Hybrid

Harmonic is excited to collaborate with a dynamic VFX and Animation company known for creating characters and worlds from popular blockbusters and video games. Despite recent industry challenges, the company remains busy and is seeking an Interim Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Head of Finance, you will work autonomously to support daily transactional tasks. Your responsibilities will include overseeing AP/AR, posting invoices, reconciliations, and managing the balance sheet. There are opportunities to get involved in month-end reporting, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries, with potential progression into management accounting.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in AP/AR, excellent communication skills, ambition, and a desire to advance into management accounts. A passion for TV and Film, along with understanding project-based industries, is beneficial.

The role offers a mostly remote/hybrid work environment, requiring one flexible day in the office per week.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger
  • Manage AP/AR and process daily financial transactions
  • Oversee payroll for a small group entity (less than 50 employees)
  • Reconcile credit card and bank transactions
  • Assist with journal postings and payment runs during month-end and quarterly processes
  • Collaborate with production teams on costs, invoices, and expenses
  • Perform ad hoc tasks to support the wider business
Minimum Requirements
  • 1-2 years’ experience in AP/AR
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Media, TV, Film, or Entertainment industries

Location: London, 1 day in-office, 4 days remote
