Interim Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Manager

Location: Edinburgh
Length of Contract: 6 months, potential extension
Salary: up to £60,000 per annum

iMultiply are working in partnership with an exciting company in Edinburgh looking for a skilled Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Manager to support the team on a 6-month fixed term contract, starting immediately, with potential for this being extended for the right individual.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to make a meaningful impact, drive improvements, and lead a talented team in a dynamic environment. You'll play a key role in identifying opportunities for efficiency, automation, and process improvement, collaborating with internal teams. Strong leadership skills and the ability to drive a high-performing team culture are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead, mentor, and develop a team, ensuring their professional growth and cross-functional collaboration.
  2. Establish and maintain strong financial controls across AP & AR functions.
  3. Foster a positive team culture, promoting engagement, recognising achievements, and encouraging open communication.
  4. Continuously review and refine processes to enhance efficiency and risk management.
  5. Oversee supplier payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  6. Manage client billing, debt collection, and credit risk while driving efficiencies within the billing system.
  7. Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management.
  8. Ensure compliance with SLAs and maintain reconciliations for debtor and creditor accounts.
  9. Manage corporate card expenses, ensuring timely submissions.
  10. Contribute to finance transformation projects and system enhancements.
  11. Collaborate with wider Finance teams to deliver valuable insights and reporting.
Experience Required:
  1. 5+ years of experience in AP or AR functions.
  2. Proven experience leading and managing teams with a track record of success.
  3. Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
  4. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail and the ability to think strategically.
  5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
