Job summary

Cameron Pink is partnering with a market-leading international electronics company to recruit an Interim Accountant who can hit the ground running during a busy period of change. You will report to the UK Head of Finance and help stabilise the function, support year-end, and ensure a smooth handover to a future permanent hire.

This fully office-based role offers a daily rate of £250-£300 and a clear pathway to a permanent position (£45k with full benefits).

Qualifications

• Proven experience producing management accounts.
• Confident with VAT.
• Strong Excel skills with pivots and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts with minimal oversight.
• Support the UK Head of Finance with year-end and external audit.
• Ensure VAT returns are submitted correctly and on schedule.
• Keep AP, cash book and fixed assets running smoothly.
• Provide guidance to junior finance staff and ensure a smooth handover to the permanent hire.
• Leave behind a clean, audit-ready finance function.

Within your assignment you will:

• Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts with minimal oversight.
• Support the UK Head of Finance with year-end and external audit.
• Ensure VAT returns are submitted correctly and on schedule.
• Keep AP, cash book and fixed assets running smoothly.
• Provide guidance to junior finance staff and ensure the new permanent hire is set up for success.
• Leave behind a clean, organised, audit-ready finance function with a seamless handover.

Requirements:

• QBE or qualified accountant
• Proven experience producing management accounts
• Confident with VAT
• Strong excel skills (pivots, lookups, analysis)
• Experience being part of a larger company environment with tight reporting deadlines
• Multicurrency and stock accounting experience preferred
• Able to work autonomously and add value from day one
